Compatibility Help

Hi Guys , i need to know if i can mix a tiagra 9Speed Cassete with a Sora 9 Speed Rear derailleur , also i have a claris crankset (2 Speed) with a Sora Front derailleur (2 Speed) , so the final question is : Will this mix of components give me any problem?

Thanks

The cassette and rear derailleur will work together with no problems (assuming a 9-speed chain). The 8-speed Claris crank should also be compatible with the Sora front derailleur. I'll further assume you are using 9-speed shifters of some type.

Friction levers pretty much eliminate the compatibility issues with the possible exception of total cable pull amounts. ( Since some older levers didn't pull much cable). Andy.
