How Do I Measure Chain Line?
I got some good advice here on replacing a crankset -- that the spindle length and chain line should be a match. I've seen some crankset specs that include a BB spindle length (no problem with that) and a chain line measurement, e.g., "48 mm."
So, how do I measure the chain line on my current crankset to find an appropriate replacement?

Thanks. The chainline measurement process looks more complicated than is necessary, so I'll just stick with matching spindle lengths.
