Cool: DIY Front der tune-up

Had a proud moment tonight. I used the instructions at Park Tool's site to adjust index, height and high and low limit screws on my Trek 105 front der. It took a while to dial everything in, but now the shifting is sweeeeet with my upgrade DA brifters.

What could Einstein have done with the net? Boggles the mind :)

Yep. The only thing to fear is fear itself.

Everytime I work on (and sometimes even fix ;) ) my own ride, I am impressed by the wonderful simplicity of the bicycle. Everything on it makes sense, and is relatively easy to understand if you go slow and rationalize what the specific component does, and why.

Here's my approach, you never learn unless you try. What's the worst that can happen? You get stuck and take the mes to your LBS and have them finish it. It's not like you are doing brain surgery.

Congrats!
