Broken brake boss
Long story short, I snapped one of the bosses (I think that's what they're called) on my front fork. Are these at all replaceable? I included a photo for reference. Thanks.

I think you're hosed
Those bosses are brazed on. A framebuilder can fix it but the cost may be more than replacing the complete fork.
Good luck.

Brazed on? I figured as much, I couldn't remove them for the life of me. I probably should get a new fork seeing as the drop-outs are bent and the wheel isn't centered. Only problem is I don't have the tools to remove and replace the fork, so now I'm wondering how much this will run me.

I saw this in the Rivendell Reader...They cheaply solved the same problem by using a BMX side pull brake mounted in the fender mounting hole in the front fork. Try the brake on first and be sure of the reach, then if that is going to be OK...saw off the remaining brake boss. Should work fine, maybe less pwerfull than the old brake, but workable. Good luck!
