Any derailleur adjustments needed? Currently have a Campy Veloce front and rear derailleur.I'm think of getting a custom crankset set up to better utilize my sprinting r power - I'm built like a track racer at 6'3" and 205 lbs -but I still like the triple because I'll be 50 in 5 years and climbing is my nemesis.

Currently: 52-42-30 175 mm cranks
Thinking about: 55,54,or 53-42-30 180mm cranks(36.5 inseam).

The only issue is whether your FD clears the big ring. Harder to achieve on a braze-on.

Climbing is my nemesis too, but I am making some strides. It's taking a lot of graduated application. Good luck! Didn't know you could get Veloce in 180mm. I'm a 34ish inseam and ride Centaur 175.

What do you mean by "braze on"?

The crankset is not a Veloce It will be a Zinn or PWhite.

Some FDs clamp to your seat tube and can just be loosened to adjust the position on the tube. Braze-on FDs attache to a point that is brazed onto the seat tube.
