Time ATAC Pedal Overhaul

I read somewhere on this forum that Time ATAC pedals have bushings rather than bearings. Is this true? That being the case, is it necessary (or possible) to overhaul these, or are they essentially a consumable and disposable component?

Don't run red lights, wear a helmet, use hand signals, get some cycle lights(front and rear) and, FFS, don't run red lights!
