HG on IG only
Hello There,
I just purchased a SRAM Powerlink PC68 (something like that its for the 8 speed cassettes) And when I recieved the chain it stated that it was a HG chain which unfortunately on the MEC website didn't state that it was HG. My Raleigh Microlite states to only use IG chains and I've heard that if you use the wrong type chain you can ruin the components. The instructions that came with the chain state that its IG compatible. But want to make sure I don't end up replacing the cassette and the from crank teeth.
Thanks,
Fr0stByte.

If it says IG compatible, I'd believe it. SRAM/SACHS makes very good chains and has a good reputation. I don't think they would lie about compatibility.

Okay, thanks. =) I do believe SRAM I just wanted to make sure. =) It was mainly the red sticker on the bike saying "Use IG chains only". With the SRAM manual sayin IG compat I guess I'm good to go! =)
Thanks,
