Looking for comments on Vittoria Open Corsa clincher tires

Any comments on preferences or dislikes would be appreciated. These are expensive. and I'd like to know what other users (past and present) think of them.

Thanks in advance.

My experiences have been good. Good puncture resistance. Excellent resistance to pinch flats (I weigh 220 pounds). I run them on Mavic Open Pro rims and have had no problems with blow off.

Thank you DS. I guess the Open Corsa's are too expensive to be popular.

I have them. They are a race only tire for me, but I "retired" one and used it on the rear of a commuter bike (!!!) and had about two thousand flat-free miles on it. A Veloflex Pave handles better, but the Open Corsa lasts longer and is more puncture resistant. It is a great tire.

yeah..pretty expensive. i bought a pair of open corsa cx last 3 months and right after 2 days using it, punctures happened. But, punctures can happened on any tires and in this case, i noticed that about 1cm of glass stucked inside the tyre. No wonder it punctured :/

Anyway, open corsa is suitable for race day. It might be too expensive to use it for training. I go for vittoria rubino and zaffiro during training days. Cheers!

I got a set of these tires about 2 months ago and they are fantastic, the smoothest I've ridden. However after only about 1500 kms, the rear tire is pretty much finished. The tread is gone and the tire has that flattened profile already. It's a shame because they really are expensive but it seems they will have to be reserved for race day use only.

Of course the possibility remains that my horse legs are just producing too much torque...

I've been running these tires for years. I really like them.

They look great in the package. Definitely lighter than the Rubino Pro Slick (great training tires).

I haven't mounted my set yet. Saving them for a special occasion.

I like tires that corner well, I like this tire.

Looks good too, like a tubular. I like the file tread, helps to know when it's wearing out.

Life's too short to ride cheap tires.

Great tires. A little hard to mount on some rims but worth it.

sticky, soft, prone to cuts, low mileage...

nonetheless, my favorite clincher. sticky is good. cotton casing is uber-supple...as close to tubies as you can get with a clincher. probikekit.com has 'em for ~$35.
