I've heard good things about the JP Weigle stuff.

I've only ever used WD-40 though. Haven't had any problems.

Frame Saver seems to be the preferred one. If you ride quality steel it make sense to fork $10 for the peace of mind. I used it without any issues but had to order it online as it was not available locally.

As others have posted, FrameSaver is the best. It's intended exactly for what you need, internal rust preventative. Serotta uses it on all their steel bikes.

JP Weigle, by the way, is a noted frame builder.

Quick question on the frame saver: How long does a treatment last? Is this something I should do annually? bi-annually?

Just want to be sure I can hand the Salsa down to my son.
