****ing issues

Hi experts!

I have the following setup: Shimano 600 STI 8-speed, 105 9 speed front and rear derailler, 105 53/39 crankset, 8 speed HG90 12-21 cassette, chain wipperman connex 808 (chain and rear cassette new!, cables and crankset 4 months old).

Problem: I´m having problems shifting down from 15 to 14 behind in the 39 ring not in the 53, no other shift issues. I have tried adjusting the cable, but just another 1/4 turn and the upshifting goes, I have also tried cleaning and the STI shifters with WD40 and reaaplying some spary oil - to no awail.

Any good suggestions will be welcomed.

Whenever I have a shifting problem that doesn't respond to normal tuneing, the first thing that I do is to check to see that everything is in the normal default position. In this case, I'd check the derailleur hanger alignment.
