Need 30.0mm Seatpost

I'm having a hard time finding a long (like 410mm) seatpost in the 30.0mm diameter. I know Thomson makes one in this size but I hate their clamp design. Any suggestions? I'd prefer aluminum over carbon and the cheaper the better. I'm hard on my components so the stronger the better!

Thanks! ~~~Chris

Check out some of the Ritchey mtb seatposts. They have a little bit more setback than the Thomsons.

Why not use a shim? Then you could shim any 27.2 (VERY common size, should be able to find any kind of post you want!) post to 30.0
Check out tamerusa.com --they have them under "Sizers".

Are you sure it's really 30.0 as opposed to 29.8 mm ?

Co-Motion steel tandems and, if I remember correctly, Burley tandems, use the 29.8 mm diametre. You should be able to find one at any retailer that sells tandsms.

If in doubt, check http://sheldonbrown.com/harris
