on-the-fly lockout shock

Greetings Earthlings,
I decided against bying a new ride to race adventure racing with, and decided to modify my beloved '99 specialized FSR for this purpose. My question is: are there any rear shocks I can replace the ROCK SHOX one that have a on-the-handlebars lock-out switch?
Any help would be appreciated...

REAR? with on-the-bar lockout? Don't think that exists. There are lotsa suspension forks with that feature, though.

I thought I saw one on maybe a TREK NRS that had a cable running from the rear shock to the handlebar with a regular switch on it. I am wondering though whether this is for air shocks only (I was hoping for an oil shock as I weigh 230 lbs).
I think I will follow ROBTHEBIKER's advice and call my local shop on this.
Thanks,

The '05 Trek Fuel EX9 has a system from Rock Shox that locks both the front and rear suspension from the bar. I'd read it's exclusive to Trek until at least next year.

Search on ebay for Fox Remote.. I think there is one posted now. I set up both my front and rear with one of these levers and it is really trick. Fox RL rear shock and SID Black Box fork on the front.
For me, an novice bike mechanic, it was a fairly challenging task. But in the end I got it done and it's a unique and awesome upgrade. Let me know if you want more info.

PS there is a kit on ebay now, but it's in the UK.
