whoa, did the threads in the shoe's sole get stripped out? If not, try reattaching the cleat to the shoe, or even your other shoe. Maybe then you'd be able to clip out of it!

hehehe, i just got these Nashbar Clipless ATB Pedal 2 days ago. I should smash them with a hammer and give myself an excuse to get new ones.

If one works and the other doesn't, maybe the damaged one got bent when it pulled off. If it is bent, maybe you can lay it on a flat surface and tap it down with a hammer. The bending and straightening will possibly have caused fatigue in the metal, weakening it. I would get a new pair of cleats ASAP.

You have a lot of leverage when the cleats are attatched to your shoe. If they are embedded in the pedal with no shoe, try and grab hold of something, like the bolts, and apply a long bar.
