measuring a B/B

im going to replace the botom brackett on my bridgestone road bike. i have determined that the frame is 68mm what i dont know is if the spindle is measured to include the threads of the crank bolt or not. i would assume not but though i would ask before buying one. thanks!

Spindle length is end of taper to end of taper.
