    english threaded forks

hey guys, this is a basic question, so apologies. tried a search and also visited sheldon, but to no avail. can someone please explain english threading for forks. i believe it to be the standard for threaded forks, but can someone please confirm. i have a colnago straight blade steel fork, currently using a 105 headset and i want to use a vintage campy, so i need to confirm that english threading is what i have. please advise

Sheldom has the skinny on threading... search Sheldon Brown headset threading at www.harriscyclery.com ISO and italian 1" are close enough to be intechangable. The recent vintage Colnago straight blade steeel forks I have dealt with have been ISO. Your 105 HS has ISO threading. If your old campy HS should be Italian and you use it on an iso steerer, then you shouldn't go back to an italian threaded steerer with it.
