    What needs greasing?

    Identify this noise:

    1989 Bianchi Strada -
It's a soft grinding sort of noise, doesn't sound like chain squeak, more like dry bearings. Only happens when I put pressure on the right pedal, the left pedal will not make the noise no matter the power I put down.

My guess is the bottom bracket needs a repack?

If I'm right, it's time to go tool shopping
    Weather today: Hot. Humid. Potholes.

I had a creaking sound when putting pressure on the left pedal. Cleaning/repacking fixed it up. Figured even it didn't fix the problem, it was a good time to learn my way around the BB, and a little fresh grease never hurt anyone.

Maybe you just have to readjust the bottom bracket. Tighten it with a torque wrench.
