I am looking at getting a PowerTap SL and am wondering about any advice on spoke count.

they come in 24, 28, 32. i weigh 124-127 lbs. i will use them for road racing, crits and training.. would the recomendation for Zipp 303s be different than for mavic open pros?

It depends on how many holes your rims have. Zipps and Open Pros only come with certain drillings, so match up the hub to the rim you want. I would think you would be fine with any of those, just make sure it matches the rim.

I'd go with either 28 or 32. Leave 24 alone if you plan on training on those wheels (you will.)
