Help Shimano freehub after 7000 miles

Ultegra rear hub, 7000 miles repacked bubs every 3k miles. Freehub grinding a bit, but no other problems, probably dry. I like to keep the bike well so I am either going to overhaul the freehub, ala Park Tool or buy a new one and fit it on.
Does anyone here have any experience of this and what do you recommend.

Thanks

Brian

Bikes: Catrike 559 I own some others but they don't get ridden very much.

Shimano freehub bodies are fairly inexpensive to buy and they easily swap-out with a 10mm allen wrench.

Remove the freehub from the hub body, remove the rubber seal ring from it's rear face and squirt in several drops of Tri-Flow or similar oil. Replace the seal and spin the body a few turns. The noise should be gone. There is no reason to disassemble a freehub body unless you love dealing with dozens of minuscule parts.

7000 miles is nearly new for Shimano Freehubs. My friends and I have gotten over 30,000 miles on several Ultegra and Dura Ace bodies and they still work well and are quiet. They get the above treatment about once a year.
