I won some 172.5 mm Campy Record arms on the cheap yesterday. Is there anything to be careful about when switching arms on the current Campy Record spider? What about bolt tension?

I'm going to have a pro mechanic do it but I want to know what to look out for. Thanks

D'oh?? Well, if you don't have a Record or record type '4 arm ring' to put on it the roll off pin will be in the wrong place. AFWIW, if this 'pro' is really a pro,ya shouldn't have to be baby sitting him/her. Do you do that when your vehicle or washing machne are getting fixed?

The older I get, the less I trust most people.

Auto mechanics hose people because the public doesn't know any better. I thought this forum was about bike mechanics. I'm asking a mechanical question really about bolt tension.

Why don't you learn to do it yourself, rather then trying to tell your 'pro' mechanic how to do it. Place to start, worlds best torque wrench: www.sheldonbrown.com/tork-grip.
