The Conex link would only click about once every 2-1/2 crank revolutions as that is typically how many it takes to pass the entire chain through the derailleur. It wouldn't be in sync with one pedal's motion.
The most-likely sources are the right pedal, the right crank arm and the bottom bracket.
1. Be sure the pedal is tight in the crank arm and doesn't have looseness in its bearings or play between the cleat and pedal interface if it's a clipless pedal. Also, check to be sure your cleat is tight on your shoe.
2. Be sure the crank arm fixing bolt is torqued properly. These have to be really tight and will ruin the crank arm if ridden while loose.
3. Bottom bracket ticking is common if the threads weren't lubricated and/or the bb wasn't tightened sufficiently. Again, the proper installation torque is very high.
