FSA RD 200/400 Wheelsets
Anyone had any experiences good or bad with FSA RD series of wheels? I've heard good and bad. Roadbikereview's kind of all over the map on then. I am looking for a set of decent wheels in the $400-$500 range for a Campy freehub.

One of the reasons many of the reviewed products at roadbike review are all over the place is because there is no place for a reviewer to list their weight. A 140 pound person may find a wheel bullet proof with no flex and great and a 200 lb rider might break spokes, have the wheel flex etc and think the same wheel is a POS. Weight of the rider applies to most bike items. I've emailed them numerous times and posted on the forums there about it. The morons over there obviously think it is more important to know what a persons favorite ride is (which is no value to 99% of the readers) than it is to know a persons weight when reviewing a frame, wheel, seat, stem, etc. Nobody has ever replied or agreed so it must be only me.

Tim Dig a little deeper at roadbikereview.com - do a search in the regular forums. You will find that there is LOTS of negative feedback on the RD-400's. Of course, rider weight is important but wheels like the Ksyriums hold up despite this same rider weight disparity. |

I have a set of the 200's.. 155lbs, broken one spoke in 12,000 miles. I have some SSC SLs.. Those wheels have suffered a broken spoke as well.
good luck. |
