Kool Stop Pads on Rim Wrangler Brakes (fit question)

I am trying to put some of the green (ceramic wheels) brake pads onto my Avid rim wranglers. They do not go on easy at all and I can not get the pad seated all the way into the cartridge holder (i know that isnt a technical term). Question: Are the Green Kool Stop pads made to go on the Avid Brakes, if so are there any methods I should know in order to get the cartridge in easier?

If they are "V-type", they should fit. I had a similar query about the regular (salmon-colored) inserts, when I wrote to KoolStop's tech support this is what they said:

The Rim Wrangler 2 uses the same specs as the shimano xtr.* Our replacement pad for this holder is our part number* KS-LPVB and that stands for linear pull V brake insert.
I do note that many replacement cartridges are very tight going in at first, some seemingly impossible. If you have a small file or emery board or something you might want to take a tiny bit off to help it slide in easier.

Whatever you do, don't push too hard to try to force them in: I broke a pad once doing that Sometimes sliding it in and out repeatedly will help. God this sounds almost pornographic.
