Grip Shift MRX

I have a Burley recumbent that came with a SunRace rear derailleur (8 sp) and Grip Shift MRX shifters. I would like to replace the SunRace with either Shimano LX or XT, or Sram rear derailleur. Would either of these work with the Grip Shift brand shifters? Thank you, Rich

Grip Shift belongs to SRAM, but be careful, the ESP stuff is different from the rest.

MRX shifter will work with Shimano derailleurs.

Thank you for the information. I replaced the SunRace with an XT and me and the bike are much happier.
