So I by no means am a bike mechanic, all I know is the basics of putting a bike together and fixing flats/installing new tubes.

So on my winter beater(a road bike), last week I was riding through rain and hail and when I came home I wiped her down and all was well. Next time I went riding, till the current, there is this constant clicking sound every time I pedal, sounds like its coming from the cassete, or maybe the derailer. I know its somewhere in that back region. It almost like a slight grinding noise type of a clicking. Its really annoying, also theres little high pitched squeeks as I pedal(kind of like those cliche bike noises) and whenever I ride, I feel like im riding a squeeky piece of junk.

Anyone know where this squeeking and clicking could come from, and how to fix it?

Despite you can find the sound coming from the back part of the bicycle, I would suggest first to check if the wheels locked in place are loose by shaking them sideways it the touch the brakes' shoes and check the all frame for cracks if there are any. Use a flash light. Second, I would check if the gears engage well in the right sprocket or rub in the front dereiler. Thirth I would start by oiling well the chain and go for a walk and I think this first three steps would solve the problem. After this and because your lack of mechanic knowledge and to solve the problem fast I would take the bicycle to the LBS to solve the problem. If you want to solve the problem a bit slower, check the net for mechanic's articles and then start checking if the rear derailer is ok. After take out the cassete and cheack the bearings in the back wheel. If this does not solve the problem then check headset and front wheel.

Does it click when the pedals are in the same part of the rotation? If so repack the pedlas withe waterproof grease. This happened to me once and I thought it was coming from the back.

Hopefully you are keeping everything well lubed if you are riding in wet conditions. I would start by lubing every pivot and pully on both derailleurs. When was the last time you bottom bracket out/serviced? Remember, water can wash out grease and oil over time so it is a good idea to have bearings serviced often when riding in wet conditions.
