Installing Look fork
I recently bought a Look (555) frame from ebay which came with an HSC5-SL fork and integrated headset. I'm okay with the top of the head tube (it's like my Cannondale except the star nut is held in with a wedge type device); my question is between the bottom of the head tube and the fork.
There is a piece which fits in the bottom of the head tube (sort of a cup to accept the sealed bearing unit), and of course sealed bearing which seats in it. Fine. But the sealed bearing just sits directly on the fork? As I understand it, the type "L" forks have the 'fork cone' molded into the the CF. But it just looks odd to me - there is quite a gap.
Anyone have experience with these?

Im assuming you have built up the front end and adjusted the headset. The 'fork cone' aka crown race on this fork is molded cf instead of a seperate press fit alloy piece. How much of a space is there? Its normal for there to be a bit of a gap in this design...Worry not, ride on

^^^ Haven't built it yet - just fiddling with the pieces. From recollection the gap is about 1/4"+. I will try to post pix if that would help.
