    steer tube too short... suggestions?

    howdy.

my intentions were to sub my Marzocchi Bomber 22 Atom Bomb suspension Fork to my Single Speed Cannondale--former Headshok, adapted with cane creek head set, but with the new head set--the steer tube is too short. i am screwed? or is there a way to change the steer tube for a longer one? or can i simply put a new crown/steer tube combo on the fork? --if so, where in the world do i find one of these for an older model fork?

thanks for any and all feed back...

You'll need a new crown/steerer assembly. An alternative is to press out the old steerer and install a new one, but you should contact Marzocchi for more info on that.

There are extenders on the market - some of them have an internal clamp like quil stems with matching external diameter, others claim not to interfere with the original star nut setup. I haven't seen any of the latter, just noticed one while surfing once.

I've seen extenders available for that purpose. I believe BBB make one called a tube extender. Check out the following link -
