    Help on price for 2002 trek 1000

    My LBS made an offer of $525.00 + tax it does list for $599.00 is this a good deal or should I make them sweat it out to see if they come down some more.:I,m just going to use it for a faster commute. Also this LBS is ski shop in winter if that helps any. :confused:

    I have seen year old ones on clearance for $450. It depends on area and compettition.You have to decide what a good enough deal is.

    Thank you Pokey,Maybe I will just wait until dec or jan when the snow is flying and they get sick of all the snow and wish it was summer.

    It seems to me the only real way to compare is to go around now and get a few prices from other stores relativly close. See what other are offering. That way you can have a benchmark for the prices and deals that are currently available.
