Bullseye hub screws?
So I got this badass wheel from a swap meet to use on my fixed gear. Its a purple bullseye hub laced to a super deep araya rim. I took it to the shop for them to take the freewheel off, and I'm running it as a suicide cog setup. there's adjustable spacers and whatnot, so the chainline is good. my only problem is that I'm a torque-producing monster, and the q/r is not strong enough to hold the wheel in the frame.
the inside of the axle is hollow, and threaded for a 5mm bolt. i did some digging around, and I found that this same hub was used on bmx bikes too, just with a shorter axle, and they used bolts to bolt on the hub. I cannont find these bolts though.
If someone could point me towards these, it would be a huge help.
thanks.

If you know you need a 5mm bolt can't you just purchase some? I realize that these probably aren't at your local hardware store but there are probably vendors on the web where you could easily get any length of metric bolts or allen head cap screws that you desire. You could seek out Stainless steel, aluminum or steel. Get some matching flat washers at the same time. I've got a bag of these bolts and washers that came with my Bullseye hubs that I purchased years ago directly from Durham Cycles in California. I suppose the company is no longer in business. I'm not presently using the bolts since quick releases are sufficient for my application, I'd give you mine but I probably should hang on to the extra hardware for the event that I want to change them to bolt-ons after all. If you check ebay long enough, it seems like even something as obscure as "Bullseye hub bolts" occasionally will surface. Good luck!
