seat keeps tilting back

So I have this old Motobecane; I think I've identified it as being circa 1980. Anyway, I've got a problem with my seat. I put it on and tighten it down at an angle that I'm comfortable with. When I start riding, I am putting weight on the rear of the seat and it ALWAYS tilts back toward the rear of the bike. Do I just need a new seat assembly (I don't know if it has a proper name)? I really torque the snot out of the thing when I tighten it down.

Thanks,
Andrew

1. disassemble the clamp
2. clean it
3. check to see if its still has its locking grooves
4. lightly grease it
5. reassemble

on my seatpost the locking grooves weren't deep enough. over bumpy terrain it would always shift. took it to yojimbo's and he took a file and made the grooves a little deeper. no problems since.
