Road levers with v brakes

I have just picked up some of the Dia-compe brake levers that work with v-brakes. Does anyone have any input on installing them. I heard they can be a little tricky to set up. I am using some old STX RC v-brakes. These have the full size brake pad unlike the newer low profile pads.

If you have true road levers, you'll need a Travel Agent to get them to work with Vs.

They're not hard to set up. But the brake lever/body locking screw very easily "mis-threads" and plows straight through the ultra-soft aluminium body. They should've made a harder metal insert in the aluminium body to prevent that. But of course, increasing the total weight by three grams was no option - that might slow people down too much!

They set up no differently then any other brake lever. Did your set come with the replacement noodle for the brake and another smaller noodle for guiding the cable out from beneath the lever?

The smaller noodle should fit snuggly into the recessed hole in the back of the lever. I found it easier to insert the noodle while the lever was off the bar and then mount it.

You can get by without them, my first set of levers (used) didn't have em. I've really found no difference in performance either way. The adjustment on the brake noodle is a nice touch.
