rear cassette install-grease freehub splines?
what, if anything, needs grease when installing a cassette on a new wheel? do you grease the freehub splines? what about in between cogs/spacers?

I do recommend torquing the lockring to spec (probably like 40N-m or 30 lb-ft) with a torque wrench. The value is usually printed on the ring.

I also assemble everything dry. A little grease on the freehub body won't hurt but doesn't contribute anything. Greasing between the cogs is a waste of time and impossible for cassettes with groups of cogs on spiders.

^^ +1. I also grease the splines but that's only because I grease everything else! The way I see it, there's no harm in it and you never know what might happen down there.
