adjusting saddle angle on a seatpost with "stops"

Okay, is there any way to fine-tune the angle of my saddle on a seat post that has click-stops on the clamp? One stop makes the saddle nose too high, and the next stop has the nose too low. I'm wondering if there's a remedy for that, like maybe a shim between the two mated surfaces of the clamp (that have the grooves which create the "click stops"). If there's a way to do this safely, that would be so much better than having to buy a whole new seatpost.
