    Wellgo vs Axiom

Okay....if it is the pedals that are causing this cracking/snapping sound on my Brodie, the choices the bike store has is the Wellgo's at $30.00 CDN or the Axiom Road Gap Pedal. I know the Axioms are a better quality than the silver color Wellgo's that came with the Brodie originally but they are way more expensive too and I am wondering what makes them so good or if somebody can suggest something midrange (price and quality that would hold up fairly well ?)

The pedals currently on the bike have been on it for 3 years of cycling now...about 10,000 KM's....not bad for a cheap pair of Wellgo's.

The Axioms are $95.00 plus 14 % tax so over $100.00 CDN. The bike shop said they would discount them 20 % (this is a fantastic bike shop !) but they are still pretty expensive.

Is your LBS a Performance retail shop? I thought Axiom was a Performance house brand name.

I'm pretty sure all the various Performance pedals are made by Wellgo but, Wellgo makes several quality lines so they aren't all the same.
