I am looking to replace a Ksyrum Mavic SL rim. I bought a used pair of wheels and one of them has a
little hop to it. Is it possible to just buy one of th se rims? Where can I find a new one and how much wilol that set me back. Thanks!

You will have to get it from a Mavic dealer. Figure on $70ish dollars. If you are confident of your wheel skills it is not to bad, just detension the old rim, tape them together and swap spokes. You want to check finish tension with a guage, needs to be 100-110 kgf(If I remember)

It might be worth your while to make sure the hub is in good shape and worth re-using. It's always a bummer when you re-rim a wheel and the hubs fails soon after.

Thanks Rev. Chuck 70 bucks sounds good to me. I think it is a shame if you can't replace the rim, I mean the hub is not effected by a slightly dented rim! But good advice Pete, too true.

I know it costs £60 for the Elite rim in the UK. A friend of mine totalled his whilst hopping a pothole.
Good luck re-lacing that bad boy - I guarantee it'll have you swearing like a trooper when you get 17 of the spokes seated and then your leg moves half a mil and the whole lot comes crashing down! Good fun, though, character-building too
