24 spokes on a 36 hole rim

|I just want to ask any body if it's ok to put only 24 spokes on a rim with 36 holes in it|? I just want to make it look good on fewer spokes.

How many holes in the hub?

This should also probably go in the Mechanics section.

Nope, no good. The 36 hole rim is specifically designed to have 36 spokes, and anything less is a hazard.

to hell with how it looks.

the only thing that should matter is how it works.

It won't look that good after you go over a bump and crush the rim.

what if you have a 24-hole hub? I've been curious about this also. I haven't actually bought anything, but it would be cool to see.
