stripped campy chorus bb lockring

I got a used Merlin Agilis Ti frame with Campy chorus crank/BB installled. Crank creeked when standing so I put a 1/8 turn on the BB lockring (non-drive side) using genuine Campy tool and creek almost all gone.

Tried to tighten again and STRIPPED all teeth of inner lockring. I'd like to remove bottom bracket and replace, would like to replace with compact (non Campy) so my concern is removal, not necessarily saving.
1) Don't have blow-tourch would this work should I bring to shop?
2) If I remove crank witll other side loosen for removal?
