Suntour DT Shifters, braze-on to clamp?
Hey guys,
Is there any way to use braze-on shifters on a frame that doesn't have the bosses in it?
I got some nice Suntour index/frict switchable shifters and I want to replace the sticky, nasty old cheap shimanos on my beaterbike. I tried to use the existing shimano clamp and there are two problems
1) The suntour set screws are too wide (diameter) to thread into the shimano clamp
2) The shimano set screw isn't long enough to accomodatev the slightly wider suntour shifter body.
Are there any adapters out there that'll do the job or do I have to ditch the nice sountour shifters?

Assuming the threading on the Shimano set screws is a metric standard you should be able to buy a longer bolt at any hardware or home center.
