What's the difference between these Ultegra Shifters
Does anyone know what the difference betwen these two Ultegra 6510 shifters is:
This one has a silver body between the hood and the lever, and silver thumb lever. I haven't seen them like this:

This one has a black body and black lever. This is how the ones I've had on the bike for a while now look:

Is one a previous version, and is there any difference besides just the color of these two things?
Thanx

The top one is an older model, not the 6510 model. It has the snap-on topcap, which was notorious for coming loose and rattling over rough roads. Your model is the newer, refined version for the 6500 group. I like the looks of the version you have better.

The top one was a 6501.
