deraileur problem

yo,

i just got myself a project bike and my deraileur is pissing me off. the shifter is flawless, and they are both shimano brands, so idk whats up. im trying to oil down the rusty chain. but i cant pull the chain back smoothly to cycle it around to lube it. it gets caught on the deraileur. could it just be the chain sucks?

also, unlike my other bike, i cant hear the "click click click" when i walk it. is that part of it?

Did you just say yo?

You need a new chain.
Go to x-mart and buy one for $5.
Some Freehubs are quieter than others.
Next time just say Mao.

Enjoy

If it gets caught on the rear deraillure it would well be the chain (since it seems old and worn out), but it could very well be a bent hanger. Look down over the bike and the dearillure should be straight parrellel with the casette. You may also have a problem with the cable tension, since that needs to be perfect to pedal backwards without the chain skipping and being caught.
