What do i need to upgrade my bike if its possible, and will this change my geometry? I am looking for Rock Socx Judy J4 fork!
So i need...fork, new front V-brakes, Headset, spacers, and stems! Do i need something more?
Sory for my english i am from Slovenia- EU!

Yes, your fork is 1 1/8". You will need to convert to a threadless headset and stem along with your new fork. Because you've got integrated shift/brake levers, you'll need a travel adjuster (Travel Agent) for the front V-brake or new V-brakes,brake levers and shifters.

The fork installation will alter your bikes geometry, slowing the steering down a bit. I'd go with a fork with no more travel than 80mm. If you can find a fork with 63mm, it would affect the steering feel even less.

Cool bike. I agree with Svr, look for a fork with short travel. I recommend a Marzocchi Z2, you should be able to find one on ebay. This is a MUCH better fork than a Judy, not even close. I've used both. Good luck-

is there anything wrong with your current brakes? the cantilever bosses on the new fork should work fine w/ the old brakes. that'll save you a couple $$. Also, you might be able to find a used threaded fork in the correct length. If you can, then you won't have to change hardly anything. I'm guessing just the fork itself.

no my brakes are very good! Deore LX! But i must change it becouse i canot put it on new suspension fork? or could i?

Center pull cantilever brakes require a cable housing stop on the fork brace. Modern (within the last six years) suspension forks no longer have this stop. Some shops and internet retailers may have some new, older model forks in stock that have this stop on the brace, but very few forks made in the late '90s can match the performance of current models.

Have fun in beautiful Slovenia! I love the Austrian/Slovenian "border" region around the Mur river :D #envy#

well, thanks...i am from Maribor...near Austrian "border"! Mura river...its flat surface there, if you have MTB you must go to Pohorje near Maribor!
