Claud needs help

I bought an 80's Claud Butler frame off ebay last year and hadn't touched it up until now. I can't seem to fit a standard 1" quill stem in it, the steerer tube seems to be blocking it somehow/it's looks like it's fouling the head tube a bit. I've had a look at the fork dropouts and they seem a little on the skew, although it's not too serious.

Also, my Campag tools don't seem to fit the headset(too big).

Somebody help, kinda lost for what to do/what's wrong.

Bikes been in an accident.
Tube is bent.
Forks are torqued.
Frame may also be bent.
Take it to a shop and have them check it out.

Enjoy

Ah, ****e...thought it might be something like this. How do people avoid things like this when buying second hand off ebay and such?

You inspect it upon receipt and return it if it is bent or damaged.

Chicks dig me because I have a fine grasp of the obvious.
Enjoy

Is there much that can be done to fix this or will it just have to be a new fork?(providing the frame isn't buggered aswell)

Mostly by not buying sight-unseen from E-bay and such.

Turns out it was only a bit of corrosion in the steerer tube causing me the problems.

Phew
