Down tube shifter boss adapters for brifters

I'm finally getting into 20th century technology and converting to index shifting. Does anyone know of a source for the adapters that fit onto the braze-on downtube shifter bosses for brifter cables? Thanks.

If you dont' want to deal with shipping, any LBS probably has a ton of packs laying around they'd love to sell you.

They usually come with new brifters, along with cables and the plastic cable guide chingadero that goes below the bottom bracket.

Do I have to use their plastic chingadero (conyo, chico, que palabrota!) if my bike already has a braze on chingadero?

Your frame has braze on BB cable guide? Even though if you have downtube shifter mounts you'll still need the thing over that.

As other posters have indicated, Shimano includes a pair of the cable stops that you need with every aftermarket set of STI shifters they sell. The upshot of that is that most every LBS has a drawer full of the things. If they like you, they could be a gimmy.

As for the chingedaro, I wouldn't worry about it. If you had down tube shifters before, you probably already have one under your bottom bracket.
