Position of tire when inflating

Reading the Park Tool website concerning a changing a tire -

Saw the picture posted below:



In the picture above the valve is in the 1200 position when inflating.

Could not find the explicit directions. Is this picture indicating that it is best to inflate the tire as shown? Or does in not matter?

I have it at the 6 o clock position so it's not dangling in mid air.

Does not matter so long as the head stays on

My floor pump has a head that I simply push on (i.e., no lever to "lock" the head onto the valve). It works best at 6 O'Clock. Any other position and the combination of the back pressure as I pump and the weight of the head itself will blow it off the valve.
