Can this derailleur be saved?

I just got this Dura-Ace derailleur in a bunch of parts on eBay, and was sad to find that it had been damaged. See the pictures, the tab on the outside of the mounting pivot housing has been ground off. So of course, there is no way to wind up the spring and have spring tension in there, with no tab for the stop to rest against. Is it ruined, or do you think it would be possible to attach something there with a small bolt to serve as a stop tab? It really only needs to function until the derailleur is properly assembled, since once it's on the bike, that tab doesn't serve much purpose. I'd like to save it if possible, it's a very nice derailleur otherwise.

That's the "stopper" to keep the deraileur from spinning towards the chain stay. Try www.loosecrews.com. Before those tabs, there was a piece that you put in between the dropout and the derraileur and it creates that "tab" that you see.

Didn't see anything like that under "rear derailleurs Miscellaneous" on Loose Screws. Would this be something that would fasten onto the place where the tab used to be? There is the part still there the chrome part that's visible in the picture, that has a tab which is supposed to butt against that raised part that's been ground off. The hole that's visible may have some vestiges of threads in it, I can't tell for sure.
