How to fudge a front derailleur cable

Hi to all,

Does anyone out there knows what "cable fudge" stand for or how to make it? Someone said it is a workaroud to skip the STI lever incompatibility with mtb low-clamp chainring derailleurs (like Shimano Deore 2006 FD-M530-3). I need this combination. Any ideas?

Thanx a million.
