Bicycle Mechanic Courses?

Can anyobody assist with info. on where to start looking for enrolling on a Bike Mechanics Course?
I live in Kent, England and have had no joy in my search.
I'm getting fed up with my job and want to do something I enjoy.

If you could help I'd be very grateful.

Thanks

I know Park Tool has classes at many of theLBS's across the country here in the U.S. Many bike shops also offer classes in repair from the most basic to the most advanced stuff. I would look into seeing if one of your LBS's does this. If you're really looking into making this a career, you might want to try going to a place like the Barnett Institute, though this isn't really a necessary step. I'm sure some other members from England on the forums would be able to help you out as they have a better idea of what is offered over there. Good luck in your search!

I have seen some courses advertised in the back of cycling magazines . If I were you I might try looking in Cycling Plus or contact your local bike shop (lbs) there mechanics probably received training somewhere and could point you in the right direction. Also ask the mech in your local Halfords perhaps.
Check your local technical college prospectus.
What about doing a search through google!
best of luck anyway
