Wheelbuilding again
Just curious, can you build a radial laced v brake front wheel with 36 or 32 spokes? Why or why not? I have read that you can do it with 28 or 24, but why not 32 or 36? Thanks

You can, and I have. The problems with radial lacing, though, is that, once the spoke holes in the flange start getting closer together, you are at greater risk of flange failure. In my case, I built a 32 spoke radial wheel once, but it happened to have a larger flange than most, one that was solid, and was fairly thick as well. A low-flange 36 spoke hub, however, would be at quite a risk of pullout failure, and a typical high-flange hub (with cutouts below the spoke holes) would likewise be a poor idea.
