I'm sure that someone here knows the answer to this question.

Can you use the Campagnolo Record Carbon brake levers with a Dura Ace 9 speed rear derailleur and a Dura Ace front derailleir? I think these levers rock!

I want to upgrade my road bike levers and rather than the aluminum Dura Ace levers, I'd rather look into a set of these if they would work.

Campagnolo STI levers won't work with Shimano stuff at all, first off the shifters sold now are primarily 10sp and shimano is 9. And even with the 9sp model if you can find them, the gear spacing is different from Shimano to Campy.

Go with the good gear and switch all to Campy. You can sell your Shimano stuff on eBay. Probably also find your Campy gear there. Also, check out www.campyonly.com Lots of used Campy gear listed there, as well. Enjoy!

You can use a campy 10 speed shifter with an otherwise 9 speed shimano system by fudging the cable mount position on the shimano rear deralier. you can run a campy 9 speed shifter and rear derailer on an otherwise shimano 9 speed systrem,as the cog spacing is different,but close enough to work.

What if you use the record rear derailleur, record cassette, dura ace chain and crankset?

The Campy R.D. is a tasty item as well!!!

indeed it will work, and the cog spacing will be different, yet you might have trouble shifting into 1 gears somewhere in the cluster, I run a campy ergo shifter (9) in the front with a rear shimano ultegra (9), my experience with a shimano cassette, is that normally 1 gear if difficult to shift into (and stay in). You have to almost hold the shifter lever in place... if you switched to a campy rear cassette, this is basically solved, you may be able to buy a spacing kit, but I am not sure... however it is a small difference in spacing, about a .24 mm difference (for each spacer)

Shimano RD, you can get it adjusted pretty close, but again it will not work as well.

My boyfriend uses Campy ergo levers with a full Shimano 9 speed system and it is flawless.
