My first expensive moutain bike, what do I need to know about maintenance?
Well It looks like I'm gonna go make the deal on the 07 Specialized StumpJumper FSR Comp.
Coming from a Trek 800 Rigid I didn't have to deal with much maintenance, just the basic stuff. The Stumpy is in a whole different ballpark, what should I know about maintenance, and the suspension so I prolong the life of the components. What kind of tools and lubes should I buy? Do I need a Fox Shock Pump? How often should I inspect things? I want to make sure I do everything by the book so I get the most out of this awesome machine.
Sorry for the 20 questions, I just don't want to mess anything up. And I'd like to do the maintenance myself rather then the dealer doing it and charging me a lot.
EDIT: Also I don't know anything about hydraulic disc brakes, the FSR Comp has Avid Juicy 5's

Be careful with those breaks if you plan on working them yourself...i nearly took the end of my thumb off adjusting the caliper...the discs are like razor blades...also...you will eventually have to bleed the brakes...you can get bleed kits on line but i just found it to be easier to get the LBS to do the work...
