The indispensable bike-specific tools:
* TIRE LEVERS!!!
* Chain tool
* Spoke wrenches
* Crank extractor
* Cassette lockring tool
* Chain whip
* Splined bottom bracket tool
* Cone wrenches (very thin metric wrenches for hub + headset work)
* Crank nut tool
* Freewheel tools if you work on a lot of old bikes (but there are so many different styles of these tools, what a pain)
If you overhaul a lot of loose bearings, you'd do well to have a pair of calipers so that you can measure the exact ball size (e.g. 5/32" and 3/16" are awfully easy to confuse...)

I do have a few of those tools, I got about 10 tire levers,I got spoke wrenches, and cone wrenches, that was pretty much all I needed when I was working on BMX bikes.
It turns out a guy down the street had a tool to remove the crank arms. And I found a better candidate for my project, the small sprocket is 24 teeth, compared to 28 teeth on the hard rock, since I'm making this bike specifically for stunting, I would obviously want a gear for more torque. The gear set is a shimano hyperdrive-c, the pedals I'm using are sr sp-152's, and the crank arms are shimano acera x if you are interested. On the gear side, half the thread for the pedal was ripped out, but I still had the other half , I also have a shimano megarange 34 freewheel, but I think that would be a little too much. Does anyone here have a 24-34 gearing? If so, how is, it?
